Whoa congrats! And yeah, lots of people still play. Summer is more of a break time from WoW for us it seems, but it gets busy around the fall.

I still think Dave would be a great name, he already kinda looks like a Dave. I would suggest Dvork but I dont want other kids to make fun of him.
