Anywho figured i'd give you the heads up i've begun procedures to regain control of Aladdin's account.

I'll keep you in the loop of the details but looks like it's gonna get messy.

Ok - so basically i have to prove the account is mine before it can be re-activated. This means providing blizzard with some ID and so forth which isnt really too difficult.

However i do have to have it all witnessed by a bloody public notary. Apparently u can see these folks in copy shops in the US but here they are all private lawyers and u know what that means...basically they charge u out the ass.

Apparently people outside of the US can have a justice of the peace witness them too so hopefully thats something a little less inconvenient to get.

Anywho i guess the ball has started rolling now - time to see where it ends up!

Did u go see one of the public notary people kam? How much did it set u back if u dont mind me asking

I did not have to see notary public, I photocopied my IDs and Credit Card which I used to pay with over the years, and signed four copies of the Account Admin letter, certifying my account names and billing info, and proof of ownership. Not sure why this would be different for accounts in Oz, but it is my understanding that notary fees range from 5 to 25 dollars (here).

Ah rightio - i'll fire them off another email and get some clarification. Here they seem to charge $100 - $175 for that kinda service. Pity i still have 3 years left at law school or i'd bloody well do it myself

We just had to get copies of our passports verified for our Medicare Refund for tax purposes and we were directed to the Manly Courthouse. We walked in told em what we wanted, they looked at the copies looked at our passports, and stamped and signed the copies NO CHARGE. Check your courthouse or even the council office. Cost us like $3AUD for the copies but nothing to have em certified
